Language and display currency sit side by side in Preferences and solve different problems: one changes the language of the interface, the other changes which currency amounts are written in. Neither one touches your money.
Step by step
- Sign in and open Preferences.
- In the language section, pick one of the languages the brand publishes.
- The change takes effect right away, with no page reload.
- Just above it, in the currency section, pick a display currency or the no conversion option.
- Go back to any screen and check the result.
Important points
You do not have to pick it again on every visit. In another browser, or after clearing the site data, the choice goes back to the brand default.
The site fetches that language's texts and only then switches the screen. That is why the change can take a moment the first time.
A network failure in the middle of the switch leaves you on the previous language, instead of leaving the screen half in each. Just pick it again.
The same day and the same amount are written differently in each language. That is formatting, not conversion.
Beyond the interface texts, the site fetches the translated catalog names when you switch languages.
The help center says so, at the top of the article, when that text has not been translated into the chosen language yet. The rest of the center stays in your language.
Your communication preference keeps the language you want to receive messages in. Changing the screen language does not by itself change what is already scheduled to go out.
It rewrites amounts in a currency you know, always approximately. Bets, deposits, withdrawals and swaps still happen in the original currency.
The screen says so when the rate is old or unavailable, and prefers showing the original amount to showing a number that does not hold up.
Common problems
The new language probably failed to load midway. Pick the language again; if it persists, reload the page.
The browser lost the site data, or you are in another browser or a private window. The choice is stored per browser.
The list shows only the languages actually published. An incomplete language does not appear, so you do not land on a half translated screen.
No. That article has no translation yet, and the notice at the top says exactly that. It beats hiding the content.
Check the language in your communication preferences. Messages already scheduled may also go out in the previous language.
No. The balance is the same; it is just being written in another currency, with an approximate conversion.
Pick the no conversion option in the display currency section.
