The site works with two ideas of currency, and they do different things. The active currency is the one you play, deposit and withdraw in. The display currency is only a visual conversion, so you can read amounts in a currency you know well.
Step by step
One choice lives in your wallet and the other in your preferences.
- Open Wallet and scroll to Your balances.
- Tap Use this currency on the line of the currency you want.
- For the visual conversion, open Preferences inside your account.
- Under Display currency, pick a currency or pick No conversion.
- Go back to your statement or wallet to see the effect.
Important points
- Only one currency is active at a time, and it decides where a bet, a deposit and a withdrawal come from.
- Switching the active currency converts nothing. Each balance stays exactly where it was.
- The display currency does not change your money. It only changes how the amount is written on screen.
- Converted amounts are approximate, and the picker says so.
- Deposits, withdrawals and swaps always happen in the original currency, even with conversion on.
An amount that is merely informative accepts an older rate than an amount backing an operation. That is why the screen can keep converting in one place and fall back to the original currency in another.
It follows the device where you chose it, not the account. In another browser, the choice goes back to no conversion.
If the currency you had picked leaves the brand's list, the preference falls back to no conversion on its own, instead of pointing at something that no longer exists.
Common problems
No. The number changed because it is being written in another currency, through an approximate conversion. Your balance is untouched, in its original currency.
Open Preferences, go to Display currency and pick No conversion. Every amount goes back to showing its own original currency.
It means the last healthy rate is old. Informational amounts stay converted for a short tolerance window and then return to the original currency. Deposits, withdrawals and swaps never use that tolerance.
Without a rate, amounts stay in their original currency. Tap try again on the preferences screen. None of your balance is affected by this.
A Pix deposit happens in one specific currency. The screen warns you when your active currency is a different one and offers a button to switch to the deposit currency.
You can only pick from the currencies enabled for your account. If the switch fails, the wallet shows a notice. Refresh your balance and try again.
That currency stopped being enabled on this brand. The preference is corrected instead of pointing at an unavailable currency.
No. A screen backing an operation requires a fresher rate than a merely informative one.
