If you forgot your password, do not keep guessing. The sign-in screen has a password recovery option that sends a link to your account email and lets you choose a new password.
Step by step
Password recovery starts on the same sign-in screen, just below the form.
- Open the sign-in screen.
- Choose the forgot my password option.
- Enter your account email and send the request.
- Open the message you receive and click the link.
- Type the new password and save it.
- Go back to the sign-in screen and use the new password.
Important points
Once used, the same link stops working. If you left it for later and it expired, request another one on the same screen.
The screen rejects anything shorter before saving. Choose a password you do not use on other sites.
For safety, the message follows the email stored on the account. If you no longer have access to that address, use the public I cannot access my account page.
In that case there is nothing to recover. Sign in with the original method and, if you want, create a password afterwards under Security.
The screen confirms the send either way. That stops anyone from using the form to find out which addresses have an account here.
Already used, expired and invalid are distinct situations, each with its own message. Reading which one appeared tells you whether you need a new link or copied the wrong address.
After the reset, you sign in again on every device. That differs from changing the password while signed in, which keeps only the session you are on.
Only failed attempts count towards the limit. Getting it wrong many times in a row makes the form ask you to wait, and an anti robot check may appear.
When the address was already refused by the mail server before, the send does not happen. Use I cannot access my account and provide another address.
Common problems
Check your spam folder and whether the address you typed is really the one on the account. The screen confirms the link is on its way and reminds you to look in spam. Wait a moment before requesting another.
The screen shows an expired link notice and a button to request a new one. Use that button and open the most recent link.
Each link works for one reset only. Request another from the recovery screen and finish the change straight away.
That happens when the address was copied halfway or broken by the email app. Open the full link directly from the message. If it still fails, request another.
Repeated requests are limited to prevent abuse. Wait a little, make a single request, and give the message time to arrive.
Try the addresses you normally use. If none of them work, open I cannot access my account and submit the phone number and a new email for review.
Use the new password, not the old one, and check that the contact you typed matches the account. If the screen mentions a blocked account, open the Help Center and choose one of the brand's public contact channels.
The confirmation appears even for addresses with no account. Check that you typed the account address, and look in the spam folder.
